How to get to Faaborg
Cruise Ship in Faaborg
The easterne quay of Faaborg harbour is being extended in order to be able to receice the cruise ship "Seadream II" on the 29th of May an the 28th of July 2011. Furthermore, the deepening of the harbour is extended to 7 meters for that pupose. The shops of the city are open on the two dates mentioned above.

Ferries
The ferry services between the islands in the South Funen Archipelago run very smoothly. Timetables for the ferry service to Lyø, Avernakø, Bjørnø, Ærø and Als are avaliable at the Tourist Office. The staff at the Tourist office is happy to assist by booking tickets for your car for the ferries to the different islands.

Veteran train
Travel like they did back in the olden days. In the high season, and the children´s summer- or autumn holidays, you can catch the veteran train from Faaborg to Korinth and back again. The timetable is available at the Tourist Office.

DSB and coaches
Tickets for the state-owned coach and railway services for destinations in Denmark are available at the Tourist Office. If you wish to travel from Faaborg to Odense and Nyborg station and continue onwards by train, we can provide you with tickets that cover your whole trip from Faaborg to your place of destination. Please note that unfortunately, we do not offer ticket services for destinations abroad. www.dsb.dk  -  www.rejseplanen.dk  -
